Dear Parents and Guardians, 

Cool Aid Society is experiencing higher numbers than ever. We are so excited to offer our programs and services to the families of Grande Prairie and Area and watch our community grow. More than ever, we understand the need for our services and the impact we make on the youth that attend here. For over 40 years, Cool Aid Society has been able to provide youth drop-in programs free of charge. This was accomplished through a combination of grants and the generous contributions and donations of the public. However, with rising costs and the need to expand our services to meet the needs of families and youth in Grande Prairie, we are now faced with the difficult decision of implementing fees for our programming. 

Starting September 6, 2022 Cool Aid Society will be implementing a monthly registration fee of $50 for our After School Care Program and Tween Program. For families enrolling more than 2 children, the fee will cap at $125. The monthly registration fee will include the following:

• unlimited attendance to the registered program for that month,
• all program supplies, and
• field trip admission/bussing costs.

As we are an inclusive environment, provisions will be made for low income families that would be negatively impacted by this fee structure. Cool Aid Society will be  launching a new webpage that parents and guardians can use to enroll their youth and set up payments towards the end of August 2022. 

As a registered non-profit, all funds that we receive (including fees for services) are directed back into our programming. The monthly fees that we will be collecting will go towards needed facility repairs, the purchase of program supplies, staff training and wages, educational speakers, and so much more. The implementation of these fees will allow us to not just maintain our current programming, but introduce improvements that the youth in Grande Prairie will benefit from.
